I am AUBREY (how ironic) and I have a crush on HERO. I write AUBREY (game not me) hanging out with him to try and satiate it. After all, when you get used to something like that, it becomes easy to replace the other with yourself. I don't tend to write NSFW, but by the way my thoughts go about him. it's innevitable. As such. Aubrey is an adult (around 20) in my sexual work unless stated otherwise.

Aubrey & Hero (Aubrey/Hero) Propaganda
Despite not sharing many scenes in game, these two could easily have one of the strongest in game bonds if possible.
Despite the fandom's rampant dehumanization and agression over any sort of relationships between Hero and anyone but Mari (platonic or not, I have learned), the next best person for Hero to lean on is Aubrey. Despite her agression, she is actually quite reasonable and a good listener/speaker, as those are traits that are hard to lose. Along with that, the two have known eachother since they were little. While we don't know when the group first met, it could be anywhere from 10 months to 4 years before the accident. Which means Hero has known aubrey for at least 4 years, most likely 6-8 years. Unlike collegues at his school, their relationship would be formed enough that either of the two could trust the other with big secrets.
But if those are the only requirements, then Hero's friendships with Sunny and Basil? Well, they would have been strained at the very least after the good ending, if not severed. Whereas Aubrey changed, which is to be expected, the two stagnated. And they also killed Hero's first (and likely only) partner. That would.. strain a relationship quite a bit.
Likewise with Kel, those relationships struggle to form with siblings. Its hard to talk to a sibling about your troubles (I would know). This leaves Aubrey.
Even moreso, at that time all Aubrey needed was someone to stay. While Basil did, he wasn't in the most peak emotional state. The person who she would have needed most for comfort would be Kel or Hero. It's highly likely if she was told that Hero was not doing good that she would have began to sit in his room and just spend time with him. All she needed was someone to stay, and a depressed person face down in their bed would not leave any time soon.
In conclusion. please write them being cool and having deep discussions.
